This listing is for the Willard Roland "Nemo" Gaines (d.1979) vintage signed 3" x 5" index card seen above. This is the actual item you will receive and it has already been authenticated by PSA/DNA. Gaines was the only Navy midshipman to play in MLB history until Mitch Harris played in 2015. He played for the 1921 Washington Senators before returning to the Navy where he served as an officer attaining the rank of Captain. This ink signature is encapsulated by PSA/DNA with authentication #83847546. This may be verified on PSA/DNA's website (https://www.psacard.com/cert/) by entering the number from the PSA/DNA authentication to get confirmation of the specific signed item. As seen in the images, Gaines prefaced his signature with "Specimen Signature of", there are two small numeric notations at the top of the card, and the back of the card has an additional company's authentication sticker on it.
