SUPER QUALITY SOLID SILVER LARGE CLIP ON ASHTRAY VESTA AND THE BEAUTIFULLY ENGINE TURNED CIGARETTE BOX BY HIGHLY COLLECTED,WELL RENOWNED SILVERSMITHS WHO ARE CHARLES & GEORGE ASPREY.
HALLMARK AND THE DATE LETTER FOR 1907.

Total weight for the piece's combined is a very impressive 641.3 grams and we would just like to add,the picture makes the box look small,but this isn't the case,its just that the ashtray/vesta is larger than normal.
This beautiful large clip on vesta ashtray is in extremely good antique condition with nothing more than general wear that you should reasonably expect to see for a piece of its age and type and consistent with its use.
The Asprey makers mark is clear and the hallmarks quite rubbed but is of the same time frame as the cigarette box.
The cigar or cigarette box has wonderful engine turned decoration with a very fine detailed border along with a vacant cartouche making it ideal for a gift and on inspection we found a tiny,tiny dent to one corner and would be something that could be sorted quite easily if it at all bothered you,it is also cedar lined and has a very good snug fitting top that shuts and seals properly.
It measures,14 cm by, 9 cm by 5 cm in height app.
As seen in the photo's,the boxes hallmarks are crisp,clear and easy to read with the naked eye.
Lovely as a stand alone piece's,or as part of a collection.
