So just like of lot of us here, I recently purchased an adult coloring book and I wanted to try some nice pens to for my drawings. I'm glad I found this set, it's pretty nice! Here's my review of the "Ultra Fine 0.4mm Fineliner Color Pen Set" by Platinum Art Supplies

OVERVIEW:

- The set comes in a plastic shipping enveloppe but without tags or wraps, so I would say it's not a retail ready packaging

- The box is in metal and can be flipped open

- This set comes with 60 pens, but there are only 30 different shades, so 2 pens per shade

- It's very similar in style and result to the Staedtler Triplus Fineliners

- The ink is acid free, which is kind of important if you do sketchbooking

WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS SET

- Ink dries quickly (within seconds) and don't leave trails or smudges

- The grip is comfortable and the pens are good quality

- The cap is easy to remove and replace

- Color section is great

BOTTOM LINE:

I love this set! I'm glad I found it and I highly recommend it to anyone wanted to add some great bright colors to their drawings!

I'm hooked on these pens. They offer a smooth and direct application of ink. Although they do bleed through the paper, It's preventable by placing a few sheets of copy paper behind the actual sheet that I'm coloring. It's also advisable to apply light hand pressure to avoid piercing the paper due to the pen's fine point. The colors are vibrant and I can create texture by recoloring the same spot; but be careful. These are pens so they will run out of ink rather quickly if you try to color large sections. This is my problem - I prefer to use fewer colors and end up using two of the same color pens for one picture. Therefore I run out of ink and end up buying more pens sooner than if I'd just color smaller portions and use more colors.

LOVE these!! Highly recommend. The colors are very vibrant. They are very fine point so coloring within tiny spaces is a breeze. The tin itself comes with two of each color, makes sharing with the hubby very easy! Nicely done case, makes a great gift. I bought a set and posted my coloring photo on social media and everyone wanted a set! My MIL bought one for her mom, and my friend bought a set for his two boys to share.
