Your new Spider Wood has been kiln dried for shipping purposes and to prevent contamination and unwanted pests. For this reason, the wood will not sink immediately, it will need to absorb water. You will need to use a weight or rock to initially sink the wood, after one week, the wood will sink by itself. Also, a white fungus might develop over the wood but that is normal. Fish may even eat it, The fungus will not last long! Moss, Anubias, Java Fern look beautiful attached to this wood!
