This is a unique opportunity to own a copy of an extremely rare Mayan manuscript on DVD.

The Dresden Codex is an ancient Mayan book dating as far back as the 13^th or 14^th century. It was rediscovered in the city of Dresden, hence the book’s present name. Only four Mayan manuscripts are known to still exist worldwide, of which this is the oldest and best preserved.

The Dresden Codex comprises 78 pages of Mayan hieroglyphics, numerals and figures which provide accurate astronomical tables, ritual and divination calendars, calculations of the phases of Venus, eclipses of the sun and moon, instructions relating to New Year ceremonies, and descriptions of the locations of the Rain God, which culminate in a full-page miniature showing a great deluge. The codex has played a key role in the deciphering of Mayan hieroglyphics and the understanding of the Mayan Calendar.

In addition to the Dresden Codex the DVD also contains five other ancient South American manuscripts each of which has been scanned in high quality and preserved forever in pdf format - easy to read on your laptop or computer, or transfer to tablet, smartphone, kindle or e-reader.
