This is a hard to find sterling medal commemorating the Battle of Britain and Churchill's honorific "Never has so much been owed by so many to so few...". It is hallmarked sterling, Birmingham, date letter for 1968 and BM&BCo for Birmingham Medal & Badge Company. It weighs 74.1 grams, over two troy ounces. It has serial number 867 on the edge. I only found one other with 1975 date letter and serial number 1800, offered for $249.99. This example has a gun metal patinated finish.
