Mechanism
This movement has a modern sweep mechanism where the second hand glides in its rotation (associated with the Rolex mechanism). It is virtually silent in operation.

Shaft details
Japanese type shaft Japanese type shaft / spindle
This movement is for 'push-on' hands where the shaft is defined as follows;
  • hour hand shaft diameter: 5.5mm
  • minute hand shaft diameter: 3.6mm
  • second hand pin diameter: 0.8mm
We supply a digital vernier caliper tool which is perfect to measure this accurately if needed.

A choice in shaft length as follows;
The shaft length is the overall length of the threaded bush and hand shafts.

8mm shaft length 8mm: No thread, For push-on / snap-in applications.

13mm shaft length 13mm: Thread length 6mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 4mm.

16mm shaft length 16mm: Thread length 9mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 7mm.

Fixing nut type
We offer a choice in the type of fixing nut. The hex nut is supplied unless requested otherwise:
hex nut and washers

Hex nut and washer
includes rubber washer, flat metal washer, and brass fixing nut.

The rubber washer is intended to sit behind the clock dial.
The brass washer and nut is fitted at the front of the dial.
   
round slotted nut

Slotted round nut
includes rubber washer, and round brass fixing nut.

The round nut doesn't need the metal washer and gives a smarter finish.
It uses 1mm less of the threaded shaft so can be used for thicker dials.
It needs a hole diameter of 10mm.
