The TARKARLI rug is named for the gorgeous beach in the Maharashta region of India. We all love to walk on sand but walking on this rug might be just as nice!  Natural cotton has been woven in a textured design and finished with hand tied fringing with tassels. Lovely and soft under foot.

The TARKARLI RANGE rug is named for the gorgeous beach in the Maharashta region of India. We all love to walk on sand but walking on this rug might be just as nice!  Natural cotton has been woven in a textured design and finished with hand tied fringing.  The photographs are representative, and you may find that the rugs vary in tone e.g., ivory, oatmeal, and stone.

HAND WOVEN - The flat weave style is hand woven on a traditional loom and no machinery is involved. The end result is a lightweight rug that is thin and with no pile.   The finished piece is reversible meaning that it can be folded or rolled up when not in use.  Each one is unique since no two patterns are identical.

ECO-FRIENDLY - We bring a real sustainable mix to the Tarkarli range. Our producer uses recycled cotton yarn which helps us to reduce waste.  This rug also doubles up as a blanket or throw since the soft, fine cotton has a jersey style feel.

CHOOSE FROM FOUR SIZES - If you are looking to mix and match a little then you will find six sizes to choose from. A small 60 cm x 90 cm and a 70 cm x 115 cm mat.   We also have a medium sized 90 cm x 150 cm and a larger 120 cm x 180 cm.  Perfect for many spaces in the home.

CARE OF YOUR RUG -. It can be shaken, or spot cleaned if necessary and our customers report that the rug can be gently washed, separately, in cool water.  Please dry flat to avoid creasing.  If placing on a hard floor you may need rug mesh or similar to hold the rug in place.
