Do you have a Dell PowerEdge R710 6-bay 3.5" backplane server that came with a PERC 6I SAS controller? But, now you want to upgrade to a 6Gbps SAS controller like the H200 and you need different SAS cables? This SAS cable set is an alternative non-Dell option that can replace the Dell cable P/N P110M and N170M! Although it is NOT the Dell factory cable for R710 6-bay 3.5" backplane servers with H200 SAS controllers, it has been tested by me (The ART of SERVER) as demonstrated in my YouTube video. This cable set has the right SFF8087 right angle connector for the backplane and fits in the H200 with straight SFF8087 connectors. It's length is only slightly longer than needed, so there will be about 4~5" of excess in the PCIe slot area; you can see this for yourself by watching my YouTube video where I demonstrate how to install these cables in a R710 server.
Many of my customers buy my H200 with pre-flashed IT Mode HBA firmware for their Dell R710 6-bay servers and wanted to buy the Dell factory cable P/N P110M and N170M, but then realized they are not available for a reasonable price. I bought a bunch of SAS cables and tested them out in the R710 to find these alternative SAS cables that will work just as well.
