On May 10th, 2000, Pope John Paul II blessed the master mold models of the Virgin of Guadalupe medallion and the Blessed Cross with the image of the Holy Father. These rare medallions were only manufactured by renowned artist and designer Michael De Medina. These commemorative medallions and plaque were made to represent Pope John Paul II's historic blessing and visits to America, Mexico and the Philippines along with the Holy Father's message of world peace.
