The inventive use of various mutes is one of many ways the composer provides a fun freshness as we hear the four movements titled: Aubade, Crazy Quilt, Intermezzo, and Polka. (For the final Polka, the composer revisits his famous Polka from Hornsmoke, but in a challenging new setting.)
