LOVELY ARCHIBALD KNOX,LIBERTY TUDRIC PEWTER & ENAMEL LIGHTLY POLISHED ART NOUVEAU SUGAR BOWL.
CIRCA 1908,FULLY STAMPED TO ITS BASE,"TUDRIC" 03030
This wonderful sugar bowl from one of the masters of Art Nouveau design is in lovely condition given its age,with nothing more than you should reasonably expect to see for a piece of its age and type and has a lightly polished finish and an overall deep coloured patina,it measures,16 cm handle to handle,has a bowl diameter of 12 cm and stands 7 cm tall.
Its overall condition should be classed as very good,the only thing we must mention is a couple of the eight enamels have been re-enamelled and match very well making it a very affordable entry level piece for collectors of Knox pewter,though not necessarily for the purist collectors,but this is reflected in its price.
You shouldn't let the fact that a couple have been re-enamelled put you off as its rarity outweigh's this minor repair.
