This is the hose that goes from the pipe through the bulkhead to the housing on the rear of the engine where the ECU temperature sensor is situated. If you're looking at this item because your hose has gone soft (particularly if you have a 1.8 car) then it will most likely have been caused by a leaking cam angle sensor o-ring or cam cover gasket, these are both available (either individually or as part of a kit) in our ebay shop.
