Condition: We are pleased to offer for sale a beautiful Fostoria Brocade Paradise Confection Jar and Cover. This beautiful candy dish is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or mold damage.  The etching is beautiful. The deep green color really causes the pattern to pop.

Fostoria Brocades: Fostoria's Brocade etchings were produced from 1927 until 1931. Brocades feature an acid etched background with a clear (non-satinized) pattern. Examples of this treatment may be found on azure, black, blue, crystal, green, orchid, and pink, glassware.

Paradise No. 289  Brocade Etching- 1927 - 1930 (Orchid and Green) Paradise was one of the deep Brocade etchings produced by the Fostoria Glass Company.  It can be found in Orchid and Green. The pattern features a elaborate flower garden.  Different bird figures are hidden among the flowers in various places.  They are fun to find. It is found with and without an iridescent finish.  Some of the pieces also have gold trim.
