Description- Extraordinary set of 8 original 1920's Georg Jensen sterling silver goblets/cocktail cups. Each cup is hand crafted and has its own uniqueness. They measure anywhere from 4 1/4" to just under 4 1/2" tall each, they have a combined weight of 725 grams. The bottoms on 7 out of 8 are personalized with the name of original owner, John Price Jones. There is no verification or ownership history available but on short research they may have belonged to John Price Jones the professional fundraiser. One is dated 1929 from his staff on his tenth anniversary. John Price Jones the fundraiser started working in 1919 for the Harvard Endowment fund, 1929 would of been his tenth anniversary there. Others where given to him for Christmas throughout the years and one is made out to him addressing him as, "The King". Again there is no ownership history available on who John Price Jones was and I am purely speculating based off of very little research. There is 8 cups in this set and are sold as a set only, oddly the one made out to the King is just a hair taller and heavier then all the rest. They are not perfect a couple have very slight bent stems, that are almost unnoticeable, overall all are good to very good condition. Nice set and hard to find this many at once.
