Points Position Indicator for up to 8 sets of points As solenoid point motors only require a brief momentary contact to operate them, they are usually operated by momentary action toggle switches, push button switches or stud and probes. None of these are able to show the setting of the points on your track layout or a display panel. Our Points Position Indicator board senses the momentary positive pulses from the switch to the point motor. When a pulse is detected it then turns on its corresponding output, this could be connected to a LED on a mimic panel or even track signals, and will show the setting of the points operated by solenoid point motors. Points Position Indicator for up to 8 sets of points

As solenoid point motors only require a brief momentary contact to operate them, they are usually operated by momentary action toggle switches, push button switches or stud and probes. None of these are able to show the setting of the points on your track layout or a display panel.

Our Points Position Indicator board senses the momentary positive pulses from the switch to the point motor.
When a pulse is detected it then turns on its corresponding output, this could be connected to a LED on a mimic panel or even track signals,
and will show the setting of the points operated by solenoid point motors.

The controlling software will also reject any double triggering, from the switches.
There is a memory feature which retains the point settings whilst power is turned off,
and restores the points position LED status on power up.

Each Points Position Indicator can show the direction of up 8 track points using the supplied 16 LEDs
It can be used with or without a CDU and will detect pulses from +5 to +30 volts AC or DC.

There are 3 LED versions available

1) Supplied with 8 x Red and 8 x Green 3mm LED's with resistors

(The resistors supplied will need to be connected in series with each LED)

2) Supplied with Bi-Coloured Red/Green LEDs and resistors

(Bi-Coloured LEDs are a single LED which changes colour from Red to Green)

3) Supplied with 8 x Pre-Wired 5mm LEDs, 8 x Pre-Wired Green 5mm LEDs

(Pre-Wired LEDs have a built in resistor and approx 200mm leads ready for direct connection to our PPI board)
