This striking sculpture likely dates to the mid 20th century when a number of artists were working in mixed media such as the brass metalwork and horn employed here. This sculpture has incredible detail in the metalwork, with highly textured legs and feet and startlingly long eyelashes with a humanesque eye. It is a beautiful piece that measures 14.5 inches tall and 17 inches wide. There are light condition issues, including a couple of superficial scuffs to the horn and a scuff in the patina on the face (see photos). Overall, this is an exquisite piece deserving of a place of pride.
