We have two bedrooms, two newly refurbished bathrooms (1 ensuite), and full airconditioning for your comfort in the summer. There is also a folding single bed, so the apartment can sleep up to five people.

The master bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. The second bedroom has twin beds, and the second bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin. The apartment is fully air conditioned, and also has full central heating for winter guests. We have freeview satellite TV with the English channels, dvd, a good stereo, internet and a well equipped kitchen. It is fitted out to 5 star standard, with marble floors throughout, and located in one of the best kept and most attractive complexes on the Costa del Sol.

The apartment complex has 3 beautiful pools set in lovely gardens. There is a large family pool together with a children's pool, both of which are supervised by a lifeguard. In another part of the gardens is a smaller pool for adults only, which can be used up to midnight.

The Local Area :  A 2 minute walk away is a great Argentinian bar/restaurant called Rocca - everything cooked from fresh and lovely staff, with indoor or outdoor seating. Also in easy walking distance is a typically Spanish restaurant and bar, Venta del Golf, where you can sit out on a huge veranda to eat in the summer, or indoors by an open fire on chilly evenings. There are several bars and English restaurants in Riviera del Sol, but no clubs, so the immediate area is fairly quiet and suitable for families and keen golfers. Clubbers can enjoy the nightlife in nearby Calahonda, Marbella or Fuengirola. Alternatively end the day in the apartment, drinking wine and watching spectacular sunsets over the Atlas mountains of north Africa from our south west facing balcony.

The apartment overlooks the prestigious Miraflores golf course, this photo was taken from our balcony in December, looking straight down. There are over 30 other courses within easy driving distance. Green fees at Miraflores are approx. 55 euros - you will need your handicap card to play there. 18 holes - par 70, Miraflores also offers a covered two tier driving range, golfing academy, excellent restaurant and shops. The club house is a 2 minute drive from the apartment. The local port of Cobapino has a lovely marina, there are a variety of beaches, and the Costa del Sol racecourse has midnight horse racing. There is a supermarket which is a 10 minute walk, which will deliver orders. In the centre of Riviera (also about 10 minutes walk) there are several bars, cafes, restaurants, a convenience store open every day until 2 a.m., and a pretty little park dedicated to Princess Diana. Another five minutes walking brings you to Calypso where there is a lovely old building called El Zoco which houses a good variety of shops built around open patio gardens with bars and restaurants. There is also a medical centre, several pharmacies and a dentist (!) .

The beach at Riviera is completely unspoilt, with vegetation growing above the high water line, and rocky outcrops in the sand. A wooden walkway along the top of the beach goes to nearby La Cala if you turn left, or Cobapino if you turn right. Both have wide sandy beaches with all the usual facilities. La Cala also has a twice weekly market on Wednesdays and Fridays. All the amenities in the area are open all year round.

For those who don't like to drive on holiday, there is a bus service along the coast road from Malaga all the way to Marbella, and Riviera has a taxi rank, and also a booking office for coach trips to all the major attractions.

Further Afield :  A 15 minute drive along the coast road takes you to La Canada, a huge shopping mall and multi screen cinema. For a fascinating day trip, high in the mountains is Mijas, a thriving town in the 9th century which still has walls from the old Moorish fort. There are interesting museums, art galleries and good quality craft shops selling gorgeous items by highly respected artists and craftsmen, as well as a lovely walk around the old walls with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. The town offers a huge variety of places to eat as well as many mediaeval buildings to admire.

Other Places to Visit : The Alhambra palace complex in Granada, the old city of Seville, and Gibraltar with its huge gun, cable car (or steps for the energetic) to the top, and dolphin safaris in Gibraltar bay. The more adventurous might like to drive on to Algeciras and get the ferry across to Tangiers in North Africa. Feedback is a bit difficult as items only stay on ebay for 90 days and most people book well in advance. However, we have received feedback from a couple of guests who booked late, so you can look at 28th November 2005, 2nd July 2004 and 20th March 2004 for their comments. The following are from emails we have received from ebayers after their holidays:Mr K P: 'Many thanks for a great holiday in your superb apartment. We were so impressed that I would like to use it as a 'perk' for members of my Board of Directors, as part of their bonus package.' Mr R. G: 'Just a quick note of thanks for your input into making our holiday a success. The apartment was excellent and if you want to use me as a 'reference' for any future potential clients, I'm happy to oblige ..... within reason, as I get Email overload at work on a daily basis !!!!'IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, PLEASE DO EMAIL ME - I WANT YOUR HOLIDAY TO BE A GREAT SUCCESS

Thanks for looking, Sylvia Lawson-Brown
