Exciting, swinging Dixieland Jazz in the Eddie Condon style from arguably the best Boston-area jazz band of the 1960s and early 1970s.

"I discovered this band around 1963 when my parents took me to hear and see them, though I was still in high school and not old enough to drink. My Dad was a lifelong friend, since the early 1930s, of Wally Livingston, the bass player. He even introduced Wally to his wife Carol. Needless to say I was knocked out by these guys. Whenever they spotted my Dad walking into the club the band would break into the Tin Roof Blues, a particular favorite of Dad’s. Stan Monteiro, the clarinetist and author of the original liner notes, later moved to the West Coast to become a top executive for Columbia Records. I was able to find a CD he recorded with Yank Lawson. Pretty fast company, and a very fine clarinetist. Most of the guys are gone now, except for Bob Pilsbury who is a founding member of the New Black Eagle Jazz Band and retired only last year. By the way, Bob does the energetic vocal on Bill Bailey on this album. I don’t know who does the other vocals" - Roger Wade, 2007.

Terrific and Scarce Dixieland Jazz Album in Very Nice Condition.
