    347 page hardcover book with many B&W photos of various farming operations and issues. Dairy, poultry , Fruit and commercial Bean Growing in NY  are discussed along with forestry. There is  quite a large section on the grape industry and problems with the Grape Root Worm. This is when the Finger lakes grew lots of concord grapes for juice and wine.

    There are quite a few photos of farms and farmhouses, as well as ornamental trees along town streets but unfortunately they dont identify by place.

    i enjoyed this passage when disusing reviving old apple trees, they are just starting to approach this in scientifically rigorous way; "Fertilizers may or may not be required at first. The probability is that they will do some good. Whether the benefit will outweigh the outlay can only be determined by trial."

    Covers are soiled and show wear at corners.  There is a fold out chart of bacteria in milk that is missing and only one page is left. Inscribed on first page
