The New York Yankees visited Chicago for this crucial late season Tuesday nite tilt at old Comiskey Park in front of a packed house consisting of 48,408 sad SouthSiders.


Luis Arroyo picked up the victory in relief for the Yanks as they prevailed 7-4.  Yogi Berra, Bobby Richardson and Clete Boyer each had two hits for the Yanks and Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris each chipped in with a single.


Gene Freese was the hitting star for the Sox as he belted a three-run homer off of starter Bob Turley in the 5th.
