Up for sale is a rare antique Middle Eastern silver plated pivoting vanity mirror.
This high quality mirror features hand painted oval miniature portraits of a male and female done with rich color and nice design.
There are also carved agate stone set in a rope setting on the sides of the plinths.
The piece has two silver-plated arms which pivot the rectangular mirror back and forth at its sides.
It is mounted to a gorgeous routed ebonized wooden base which has hand cut and inlaid paneling.
It has acquired a nice patina from age and measures 19 inches tall by 16 1/4 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide.
The arm shafts have some splits and cracks as shown in last photo.
