Dated June 1880. A truly exceptional 19th century Scottish large size Yew wood snuff box. The box with applied silver bands, hinge and armorial crest inscribed 'Presented by a friend' with thistle decor on either side. The detail, colour and patination of this snuff box are of fabulous quality. A very fine example!
