Japanese Lacquer Art Fountain Pen Yamanaka Lacquerware From Japan with Tracking

Yamanaka Lacquerware is a during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1592 AD), a group
of kijishi(Japanese woodworkers) with a country deforestation permit migrated to the
village of manago, about 20km upstream of Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City. It starts with
that.

After that, it was made as a souvenir for spa customers at Yamanaka Onsen, and from
mid-Edo period, it introduced a technique of painting and maki-e from Aizu/Kyoto
Kanazawa, and has developed as a producing area of Japanese woodwork and other
paintings such as tea utensils.

Lacquer ware production processes include wood, coating, and maki-e. The coating
process is further divided into base and top coats.
There are three lacquerware production areas in Ishikawa Prefecture, each of which
has its own characteristics, and is called "Yamanaka of wood", "Wajima of painted",
and "Kanazawa of maki-e".
