日本の伝統工芸のひとつ、九谷焼に学び、九谷の土と上絵具を使って制作して、おります。九谷の上絵具は、色ガラスの風合いで、世界的にも貴重な加飾表現です。私の信念として、上絵具、下絵具共に、鉛の入っていないもののみを、使用しておりますので、お子様でも、安心してお使い頂けます。表現の幅を広げるため、釉薬や、上絵具の色彩調合は、自ら、手がけております。 

【What is "九谷焼 Kutani-yaki"?】
Kutani-yaki started in the middle of 17th century (beginning of Edo-era),  created a unique powerful styling beauty that combines grandeur and glitter. But it abruptly ended in the end of 17th century. The products were made in this period, called ”古九谷(Kokutani)”. Kutani-yaki was revived 100years later, prosperous up to the present date.Many of Kutani-yaki fans and researchers are interested in this mysterious history. In Japanese Meiji-era, the middle of 18th century to the middle of 19th century, Kutani-yaki was well-known as "Japan Kutani" all over the world.

 Kutani-yaki is used not only for in your home everyday but the picturesque and gorgeous design good for special day's table ware. Of course it's good for gift and well-known as royal warrant handcraft. Due to its high artistic and antique value, "Kokutani" has a strong interest in many people.

17世紀半ばの江戸時代前期に始まり、大らかさときらびやかさを合わせ持つ独特の力強い様式美を作り上げたが、17世紀末に突然作られなくなった (それまでの九谷焼を「古九谷」と呼ぶ) 。その100年後、再び九谷焼は、復活し、繁栄し、現代に至るのである。このミステリアスな歴史に関心を寄せるファンや研究者も多い。18世紀半ばから19世紀半ば、明治時代には「ジャパンクタニ」として、世界を席巻した。普段使いの器としても親しまれているが、絵画的で華やかな絵柄はハレの日を彩る器として活躍する。おくりものや記念品として使われたり、宮内庁御用達の工芸品としても知られている。古九谷は美術的、骨董的価値が高いために、多くの人々に強い興味をもたれている。
