The Independent State of Croatia (Serbo-Croatian: Nezavisna Država Hrvatska, NDH), was a World War II state allied with Germany and Italy, which was established in parts of Axis-occupied Yugoslavia.
This set was issued on 22 May 1944 to mark the third anniversary of the erection of the Independent State of Croatia.
Available here in fabulous mint never hinged sheets of the full set!
The stamps are imperforate.
The stamps depict:
- battle scene featuring the Black Legion;
- Guard on the Drina;
- Jure Francetić (1912-1942), General of the Ustasha militia.
