This is a very elegant pair of faux pearl earrings; I think they're gold-plated.
Extremely well-made.
Bought at Holt Renfrew Toronto, 1982.

The pearls are 6/8", attached to 6/8" gold ropes.
The ropes hook on to 1/2" burnished gold loops.
Clip-on, but you can easily have them converted to pierced.
Mint condition.

If you like, you can unhook one of the pearls and wear it as a pendant.

And you can wear the gold loops on their own, or hook other stones onto them.
