 It's The most popular morning glory variety. All-time favorite. Fast-growing, large vines with attractive foliage, producing a profusion of sky-blue flowers that open in the morning and fade by early evening. Fast growing climbers with  3-5" across trumpet-shaped blooms of deep sky blue with creamy white throats and attractive heart-shaped foliage. Ideal for arbors, trellises, porches, banks, steep hills, fences or allow to trail from hanging baskets.  Vines grow to 15 feet (4.60 meters) . Flowers from summer to early winter.
  Most of my favorite flowering vines are in the plant family Ipomoea. The most common member of this family is the morning glory Heavenly Blue, though there are about 300 more plants in this family, including the sweet potato, and many of them are twining climbers.
 
 As its name suggests, the flowers open in the morning and gradually fades during the evening.
They will wrap their vines around anything—wood, wire, string, and even each other.
Fittingly, in the language of flowers, they represent bonds and attachments.
I love the heart-shaped leaves and sky blue flowers of ‘Heavenly Blue’ but the flowers do start to change to a darker color through the end of the year.   And Hummingbirds can’t resist it!
 There can be hundreds of these blossoms, all at different stages of growth and colors, at the same time on a single plant. They really do look like tiny flags.

All Ipomoeas prefer a sunny location with well-drained soil and tolerate drought. Do not fertilize them, in fact overly fertile soil will promote lush leaf growth instead of flowers. Soak the seeds overnight before planting to soften the seed coat and speed germination.
  Flowering vines are fast growers and will cover an unsightly spot in your yard in no time. They are charming when grown on a trellis or twined around the railings of your sunny porch or deck. They can be trained to form a living fence or privacy screen, provide shade, or just add a wall of color. SOWING: Soak seeds overnight in warm water for 12-24 hours before planting, whether indoors or out. Sow seeds outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. For earlier blooms start indoors in individual peat pots 2 to 3 weeks before last frost and transplant directly outside to avoid disturbing roots. Cover seed with 1/2 inch (12mm) fine soil. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

    A note on seeds:
 You only want the black ones from the Heavenly Blue variety, it's the only one that grows the genuine blue flower. The light-colored seeds are inferior (don't bother using them).  You want fresh 2023 All Black seeds. You also want seeds that are not stored in a hot place and have been constantly refrigerated. And only use organic seeds that have no poison coatings, additives or pesticides. Store bought seeds have poisonous impurities, that are almost impossible to remove, this infused coating is embedded on each seed when you purchase a  pack of store bought seeds.
 With all natural organic seeds and if you did everything right, you can expect a safer experience when planting your seeds. These seeds will bloom hundreds of flowers and thousands of seeds.
