Mini wood burners these are designed for out door use can be used as a smoker for smoking meet and fish or Perfect for heating small spaces,  use in camper vans, camping sites, smoking fish or as a decorative feature in any home or patio.

The body is made from 100 x 100 mm box section. The handle on the door is made from steel with a brass shell case over the top for decoration (this can be removed if you wish).

The burner It is 320mm tall to the top plate the top plate is 150mmx150mm

They are fitted with a short flu which is 48 mm external in order to extend this a peace of
2 inch exhaust tube, the 2 inch tube will need to be heated ,the first 4 inches with a blow torch. or it can be placed in a fire until red hot then it can be persuaded to go over the current flue with a hammer this will bur the other end of the pipe (top) so make shore you have more than you need so the end that is hit can be cut off. using a peace of wood to cover the top wile hitting it will reduce the damage.

They are made from thick welded steel to make them very strong and durable (minimum thickness is 3mm unlike others that are only 1mm).
This is my top loading design so it can take a a lot of fuel for its size. Load from the top using a welding glove or oven glove. Pliers can be used to lift the lid as it will be very hot once the fire is lit. As you can see from the photos 2 pieces of wood can also be used.

The small door at the bottom of the unit is to light clean and regulate the air flow to the fire.

I used an Infra Red thermometer to test the temperature of this unit. As you can see from the photos it can go up to 321 degrees C before it then maxed out on the outer body of the unit. This was within only 10 minutes of lighting with pieces of split pallet wood. This unit does draw very well when dry wood is used. With a hard wood it would be higher temperature and with coal even higher I would estimate 500+
You can use a variety of fuels for example:
wood (dry)
wood chips (dry)
bbq charcoal
brickets
peat
coal *

A sleeve or 42mm tube can used as a joint to put another peace of 48x3 pipe on top of the current pipe the sleeve goes inside both to give a nice look and pro finish. 48x3 and 42 x3 is a very common sizes of pipe and is available at any local steel stock holder.

*If you wish to use coal I would recommend fitting a small grill in the bottom to keep coal from directly touching the bottom as it will extend the life of the unit. get in touch with me if you require one

The safety bit:

Just a quick warning that fires get hot!
When this fire is installed it should be bolted down and made sure that it is safe before lighting . It should not be left unattended or in reach of children. Further information on fire safety can be found online. All burners have now been painted black with high temp paint. When the fire is first lit it will give off some paint fumes so must be well ventilated. I use a high quality ultra high temp paint unlike other similar burners on eBay. If this burner is installed in a confined space such as a van or boat a monoxide alarm should be fitted for safety.
