Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century antique French dore bronze inkwell made by Auguste Delafontaine.

This lovely urn style single inkwell features ornate relief detailing throughout with a gold and silver toned finish.

It is embellished with intertwined snakes wrapping the collar and in the form of handles and dimensional cherubs on each side.

The piece has an ornate hinged lid and skirted foot that is signed in three different places underneath.

This very heavy inkwell is in nice used condition and measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide.

The finish has worn over time as seen and there is a casting imperfection on the foot as seen in last photo.
