Extremely fine Ancient Chinese Jade Cong.
This is the finest made Cong we can remember ever handling.
The walls are literally wafer thin with extraordinarily precise gently slopping excurvate external edges.
The Jade itself is a totally translucent White Nephrite.
There is a natural fissure along one of the edges on the bottom in which over the millennia silt, dirt, and organic materials
have leached into creating what looks like a razor thin black streak. Very interesting and exhibits absolute mineralogical evidence of true antiquity.
The Cong features a classic fine old smooth polish over its entirety.
Based on the overall form and associated mineralogical forensic evidence,
we are certain this is ancient example of the period.
Truly a 'Museum Quality' Masterwork Jade.
