Glass fusion is one of the methods used to produce evil eye glass beads. Glass fusion means that two or more pieces of glass are cooked and fused in an oven at a high temperature. Fusion glasses are fired between 600 and 900 degrees in the oven. The glass is heated in a controlled manner and brought to room temperature in a controlled manner. Various effects can be achieved with glass fusion depending on the furnace temperatures. Full fusing occurs after the furnace has warmed up enough to fully fuse the glass pieces. The upper surface of the fully fused glass is flat and bright. When the glass is fully fused, the edges soften and the corners are rounded.
