Webster & Company, without the "s" ornament in the caption of the plate on page 59 that reads "The King." Olive Green  Square octavo (8 5/16 x 6 1/2 inches; 211 x 168 mm). With frontispiece and numerous inter textual drawings and full-page drawings within the pagination. Original publisher's olive green cloth. Front board pictorially stamped in blue, gilt, and black. Spine pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt. Small spot to front cover (see pics) Some erased pencil to front and back end papers, along with some age toning, one torn ffep repaired professionally, hardly noticeable (see pics), Corner's bumped with some fray as well as the head and toe of the spine along with a dog eared page or two, gilt still with some shine to front and spine with spine tight with all pages fanning easily, decent copy with text and binding still fairly bright and clean. Hinges with some cracking on the inside reglued and holding nicely some minor cloth loss to the head and toe of spine (please see pics)."[In A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court Twain takes the opportunity to satirize the Old World, chivalry, kings and the church. Many of the Arthurian knights are depicted, as seen through the unimpressed eyes of a Yankee. A great book by a great man.
