C4 Transmissions have two bellhousing styles .

First : The bellhousing bolts to the transmission case with the same bolts that hold the oil pump . There is a 1/4" gap between the case and the bellhousing .

Second :  The belllhousing bolts to the transmission directly with 5 bolts and the oil pump bolts are separate . The case flares out to meet the bellhousing and there is no gap. 

CAUTION: Do not use a 10 1/2" bolt circle torque converter with a flare bellhousing C4 . Improper pilot hub or oil pump engagement will result which could damage the transmission and or converter . Do not use a 11 7/16 bolt circle converter with small case or non flare C4   .

This Performance Stall Converter  fits Ford C4  transmissions with 26 Splines .
