This is an absolutely beautiful writing toolMade from Olivewood harvested in BethlehemThe wood is from trees that have been bearing fruits in the Nativity town of Bethlehem since the time of Jesus.The prunes of young olive trees, the sprouts from the trunks of the old and unproductive trees so that therewere no trees damaged or destroyed in the process of harvesting this wood.
The Olive tree is native to the Holy Land where it took root.   Olive trees were  cultivated around 4,000 B.C. and they grow to  heights between 10 and 40 feet.  The wood from the Olive tree has a sentimental and religious significance.  It's oil has been used throughout history.
