4800 Yamato-Machi Saitiama-Ken JapanOn July 1, 1960, the R&D Center became a wholly owned company: Honda R&D Co. Ltd. In November 1961, this company moved into its own new buildings in Yamato-cho (now Wako). 50% of the shares were held by Honda Motor Co., 25% by Soichiro Honda and 25% by Takeo Fujisawa. An R&D Center was also established in Asaka.
