These 8”x10” glossy promotional photos were reproduced in large quantity by the record or management companies very often, usually when a new album was released and the group/artist was going on tour. The 8x10s were sent to the media with press releases, tour dates, press junkets.. Finally they would be sent to the designer or design studio that was putting the ad together, designing the posters. These photos are part of a collection of 100s in every possible genre of music.  That were preserved by Fernando from StudioT a well know studio in Union Square in NYC since 1978, who handled many of the music promoters and concert venues in NYC. By making these items available to the public, is a way to share the history of that time prior to digital and computerized electronic techniques as well as to the changes in the music/touring business.   Any comments, feedback and advice will be appreciated and added to our archives.there is not a lot more to say about these 8x10 publicity photos other than they are still being collected by fans and collectors. These darkroom processed prints are a distant vestige of a bygone era of Pop Music, Concerts and Tours that has changed greatly especially lately.
