 Here is a vintage Handmade Doll with her tree-branch Chair,  labeled "Hand Made by The Staytons The Arkie Shop Alma, Arkansas." 

The doll is in a seated position and measures 6 1/2" tall, seated. Her head is made from a nut, with hand painted features; arms and torso are wood, legs are cloth covered wire. Arms can move slightly, legs seem to be stationary. She wears red cotton bloomers, white knit stockings, has only 1 black felt shoe, which is hand stitched, her dress is a colorful floral print on black, somewhat faded or dusty on the front side, and her sheer cotton apron is trimmed in delicate lace, as is her muslin petticoat. Clothing is machine stitched. Paper label on back inside skirt hem is in excellent condition. The doll has a wig of unknown fiber, and her head is easily removed from the neck post. There are some cracks in the bottom neck area of the nut which are stable. 

The sweet little chair is all made from tree branch parts. It has 4 legs, but does not sit evenly on a flat surface. There was a break in the chair back which has been repaired with glue. Even with these flaws, Miss Hickory sits nicely on her chair, and seems very comfy on it. She is looking for a new home!
