A word about recasts and fake reproductions of collectible Miniatures
It really makes me sick to see fake models flooding in all over. Sure, you want a great deal, but realize, every miniature you buy as "a steal" will continue to lose value as more and more are sold. Today, you got those fantastic 6 Chaos Renegades for $50, but in 2 years, 100 other people bought the same set and now you can't resell them for $20. You are also supporting the commission of a crime. Don't fool yourself, buying fakes and knowing it, is actually breaking the law just as much as those making them.
So how do you recognize fake lots?
1. They are usually sold in small lots of 5-10 and come at an unbeatable price so they are snatched up before people can ask questions
2. They are new. You can see and feel the difference to a figure that's 30 years old
3. Sellers usually have "private" auctions, so when you look at their feedback, you cannot see what they sold in the past. They do that so you can't see that they already sold 23 lots of Chaos Renegades just like yours.
