Here is a nice VF to XF denarius of Septimius Severus emperor of Rome from 197-211AD. This coin was struck in Rome in 207AD. The obverse inscription is SEVERVS PIVS AVG, the reverse is PM TR P XV COSIII PP. Africa standing right holding fruit in a fold of drapery, a lion at her feet. RSC 493. 18mm, 3.3gm.
