Amerigo Vespucci is the current Naval Academy of the Italian Navy. It was launched in 1931 from the Castellammare di Stabia dockyards.

It was planned by Lieutenant Colonel Francesco Rotundi, following the trends of sailing warships, which inspired the lines and proportions of the 3-mast vessel, with a length 83 m, a mainmast of 55 m, and a sail surface of 3100 m. It's the true pride of the Italian Navy.
