High specification aluminium hands with copper bushes for a precise fit.
The larger hands have a counterbalanced minute hand - see photos. They are shown with a protective film in place.

 

Options are offered in this listing as follows: The picture displayed, when selection is made, shows the chosen hands in combination with a movement of unspecified shaft length. You will of course receive the movement to correspond with the one selected.

The Movement
The movements in this listing are offered according to their shaft length, but choose the one which has at least enough thread length to attach to your dial at its fixing point, with an allowance of 2-3mm for the fixings. You may want one longer still in order to move the hands further away from the dial to give clearance to other parts of the dial.

Shaft details

I-shaft details

I-shaft (Euroshaft) type shaft / spindle - with extended shaft to give extra space for large hands.
The I-shaft type shaft is defined as follows;

  • hour hand shaft diameter: 5.0mm
  • minute hand shaft: 3.5mm x 2.8mm, threaded for M4 round nut.
The hour hand is a push-on hand.
The minute hand is fitted with a small round nut, as shown in photo (included with movement).
A seconds hand generally isn't used with long hands so a 'closed' minute hand nut will also finish the appearance.

A choice in shaft length as follows;
The shaft length is the overall length of the mounting screw thread and hand shafts.
The thread length is crucial for mounting the movement depending on dial thickness. The minimum length needed is the dial thickness plus 3mm for the fixings.

19mm shaft length 18mm: Thread length 5mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 2mm (or 3mm - see below).

24mm shaft length 19mm: Thread length 9mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 6mm (or 7mm - see below).

24mm shaft length 22mm: Thread length 12mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 9mm (or 10mm - see below).

24mm shaft length 25mm: Thread length 14mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 11mm (or 12mm - see below).
A closed minute hand fixing nut included. Leave a 'buyer's note' during checkout to order an open one.
31mm shaft length 31mm: Thread length 18mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 15mm (or 16mm - see below).

28mm shaft length 34mm: Thread length 24mm, suits clock face thicknesses up to 21mm (or 22mm - see below).

The small brass minute hand nut is included - a closed one (shown) is supplied. Send a 'buyer's note' during checkout if you prefer a black one, or an open one (to allow a seconds hand to be fitted).

Fixing nut type
Mounting thread diameter: 7.5mm (standard thread).
We offer a choice in the type of fixing nut. The price is the same. Let us know with a 'buyer's note' during checkout if you'd prefer the round one.

Hex nut and washer

includes rubber washer, flat metal washer and brass fixing nut.

The rubber washer is intended to sit behind the clock dial.
The brass washer and nut are fitted at the front of the dial.

Slotted round nut

includes rubber washer with round brass fixing nut.

The round nut doesn't need the metal washer and gives a smarter finish.
It uses 1mm less of the threaded shaft so can be used for thicker dials.
It needs a dial hole diameter of 10mm.
