Cassandra Rees is a self-taught artist based in Los Angeles, CA. As a child growing up in New England, Rees spent her days sketching as a hobby or on a scenic hike with her Golden Retriever. Although she still spends her days the same way, a lot has changed since she left the small town behind and moved to Los Angeles in 2016. LA has brought her an abundance of inspiration and opportunities. Since 2018, Rees has completed 3 murals in LA and sold her first painting in 2019. Filled with curiosity, Rees endlessly explores new techniques and styles. Currently taking advantage of a sprouting passion for painting impasto, she puts her palette knife to work daily. She prefers a generous amount of paint delivering organic detail and lively texture to catch the viewers full attention. She’s fortunate to paint nearly everyday striving for a full time career as an artist. Rees’ objective is to bring vibrant colors to your unique space that brightens each of your days.
