This listing is for a fresh a/c cowl vacuum assembly for all 1967-69 Firebird & Camaro, 1968-79 Nova & GM X-Body with factory air-conditioning.

This is a highly necessary part for the efficiency of your air-conditioning that mounts in the top of the cowl, underneath the passenger windshield wiper arm. It's function is to block the air flow from the top of the cowl and into the kick panel area for the a/c recirculation mode. It includes the vacuum actuator (GM Part #1996501), Housing (GM Part #'s 3891701), Door (GM Part #3891700), Return Spring (GM Part #3891706), Top Plate (GM Part #3891703) & Link (GM Part #3891702).

The original vacuum actuator has been cleaned & tested and works correctly in multiple modes.  The rubber seal, which often dry-rots, warps, cracks or is eaten away by rodents, is in great condition.  The top bracket has been bead-blasted and repainted and is in excellent condition with only some minor pitting
