1/12th scale Dolls House 1940s Royal Wedding, Sound Barrier Broken & Dunkirk WW2 Newspapers

A decade entrenched in World War 2, the 1940s was a sombre time. However it was not without its highlights; Queen Elizabeth, who drove trucks in the military, was married in 1947 and over 330,000 soldiers were saved from the beaches in Dunkirk, whilst large technological advances were made. The sound barrier was broken by Chuck Yeager on the 14th October 1947. Before this is was a commonly held believe that exceeding the speed of sound would destroy an aircraft!

These papers are printed of very fine print paper for an authentic feel! You will receive three papers, one Radio Times open with the Headline “THE ROYAL WEDDING” one folded “DUNKIRK RESCUE IS OVER - CHURCHILL DEFIANT” and one folded again “U.S. PLANE FLIES 900 MPH BREAKING BARRIER OF SOUND”. The folded ones are fixed and do not open and the large one is printed on the front and back with a blank sheet inside for bulk. These would look great on a breakfast table or door mat in a 1940s style doll house! I have included a twenty pence piece for an idea of scale.
