This iPod has been tested by iRestore.com and is guaranteed to power up to the main menu and it plays its pre-loaded music flawlessly. Battery life is not guaranteed. Due to its age, assume that the battery will require replacement for longer battery life.
This iPod is upgrade friendly. Aside from the battery which is upgradable, its storage capacity is also easily upgradable, up to 256GB using an adapter and SSD drive or CF/SD card (not included).

We performed basic testing of this iPod to ensure 100% functionality of the LCD screen, click wheel, and headphone jack. Due to time constraints, parts requiring longer testing such as the battery and hard drive have not been performed.

Overall, this is a great little iPod and likely the most rugged and durable model ever released by Apple because it was built with an aluminum body, making it extremely sturdy and highly efficient.
