The coins offered here were designed and sculpted in 3-D by Daniel Carr using a digital mechanical transfer process. A design by Daniel Carr was one of seven official US Mint finalists for the reverse of the Sacagawea dollar. Daniel Carr also designed the actual 2001 New York and Rhode Island state quarters for the US Mint. A complete history is outlined at Dick Johnson's Medal Artists Databank: CARR, DANIEL JAMES. In late 2008, the mint that produced this coin was established as a private minting facility by Daniel Carr. The showpiece of coins that have been minted by Carr were produced with the Grabener coin press which originally served the U.S. Denver Mint. Most of the issues offered at Carr's mint are produced on that Grabener coin press.
Most of the Daniel Carr items we will be offering were produced in extremely limited quantities. When a "Final Mintage"
figure is given for a particular issue, that means that no more like it
will ever be made and the total mintage is accurate as shown.
