Included are all ten volumes of this fantastic early 20th century architectural encyclopedia. Published originally in 1907 by the American School of Correspondance in conjunction with the American Technical Society, eight of the ten volumes are page scans of that original edition. Two volumes (V & IX) are scanned from the later 1912 edition. Running in total to 4383 pages and profusely illustrated throughout with over 3000 engravings, a vast range of subject matter is covered (contents listed below).
From the Foreward:
"The rapid evolution of constructive methods in recent years, as illustrated in the use of steel and concrete,and the increased size and complexity of buildings has created the necessity for an authority which shall embody accumulated experience and approved practice along a variety of correlated lines. The Cyclopedia of Architecture, Carpentry, and Building is designed to fill this acknowledged need."
