Photographs by Hans Levi, self-publication & The Scrimshaw Press, San Francisco, 1972. First Edition. Unpaginated (64 pages). 30,2 x 20,9 cm. Condition : Good (copy of university library. Traces of folds and wear. Inventory label on the cover).

Curious and very interesting photographic report in Berkeley during the year 1971. Hans Levi took photographs of the street preachers, gathering around them a motley population (sometimes hostile, indifferent or mocking). The author himself writes in the introduction: "these are pictures of a circus. A special kind of human circus". Any post-hippie era where spiritual desires were going all over the place, especially on the American West Coast.
