This listing is for THREE used vintage RCA branded record storage boxes with the Victor Nipper dog and phonograph. Made in 1985 in Indiana, these RCA boxes are just as eye catching as they are practical. Perfect for record storage, or era correct decoration on a film set.
See the long cut mark on the side of the one box? It’s only on one side, and it’s for the “cut out marks”. The records that were in these boxes were sold at a discount, and that was the “cut-out” mark - similar to remainder marks in books. They indicate that they were closed out at a reduced price when discontinued. In this case, they literally took this box full of records and put it on a saw table and notched a line into each record jacket all at once to mark it.
Each box measures 13" x 13" x 5" when opened.
These boxes are used, but in excellent condition for their age. There are small cosmetic markings, pieces of tape, and writing on each box with other minor wear. One of the boxes has a cut down the side. The insides of the boxes are in fantastic condition. Most imperfections can be seen in listing photos.
All images are of the actual item, they are not stock photos. Don't miss out on your chance to own this unique piece of music history!
